There were many projects. One of the highest profile projects was the creation of a state-of-the-art sales force automation tool.
This tool, called Compass, would allow AZ's fledgling sales force to share customer and sales information freely amongst the entire
sales force and headquarters; giving AZ a strategic advantage in the highly competitive pharmaceutical industry. |

Assist accenture with the creation of the front-end Windows application of the sales force automation tool. |
| Technology: |
The project was one of the early innovators of the store-and-forward approach for database applications. Oracle was used as the central database. PowerBuilder was used to develop the front-end, and Watcom was used as the mobile database. |

Cahners had recently purchased Reed Travel, and embarked on an audit related rebate program to their customers.
Navigant Consulting assisted Cahners with rebate processing. A system was created by PriceWaterhouseCoopers to track the rebate program.
Navigant assumed the technology aspects of the project including the system created by PWC. |

Assist Navigant as a technology liaison between Cahners and Navigant. Monitor, upgrade, and maintain all project related systems. |

The tracking system was created in PowerBuilder with a MS SQL Server backend. Processors utilized the tracking system and Access. |

The MSRA was moving to a new Pension system. Part of the conversion involved moving their large volume of data from their mainframe to their new system.
Navigant was responsible for loading, cleaning, and transforming this data for eventual loading into their new system. |

The extracted data was loaded onto PC servers running MS SQL Server. The very large database (VLDB) was unweildy and required innovative approaches to perform the necessary analysis and conversion. |
